In issue #2705 we disabled Open Telemetry since it had apparently fallen into disuse
But here at the hackathon, there was some inspection of OTEL results.
It was clear that ARAX was not generating OTEL results anymore. And Chris Bizon subtly suggested that that might be useful to remedy.
It's still not clear to me that it will be used earnestly enough to warrant this effort, but maybe it will. It could be/have been used to reveal if xCRG is being especially slow because Retriever is being slow as will be reported in issue #2812
But filing an issue to keep this idea on the desk.
