This is the same failure as #7344 , which has the active diagnosis. Summary of where that thread stands: a Shopify contributor has been applying server-side per-shop fixes and says a general fix is rolling out, and PR #7499 (send preview_theme_id on every request) addresses it CLI-side. Interim workarounds that have worked for people there: open the store preview URL directly with ?preview_theme_id=THEME_ID instead of 127.0.0.1:9292, clear browser cache, or on Windows edit the id in AppData\Roaming\shopify-cli-development-theme-config-nodejs\Config\config.json to match the error message. Probably worth closing this one into #7344 so the reports stay in one place.
