Fluid: dateFormat description is missing

'test' is the property. dateFormat is a way in Fluid to set the needed Format of a f:form.textfield from type date.

Me neither. I don't see how this is related to the format.date VH, seems like ExtBase magic to me.

It is TYPO3 core ;)
I found it in the Internet, 10 years ago I think. Sry, I don't know where.

Just use it in an extension. It works in every TYPO3 version since Extbase exists.
You can use any existing Extension with a date field and modify fluid to the example above.

If Simon Pretorious does not know about it it is very likely not a core feature. Please point us to the lines of code implementing this or provide a complete example

1. wp_date_demo.zip entpacken und Ordner wp_date_demo nach packages/ legen.
2. In Root-composer.json sicherstellen, dass "webprofil/wp-date-demo": "@dev" in require steht.
3. Composer ausführen (ddev composer update webprofil/wp-date-demo), damit das Paket geladen wird.
4. TYPO3 Cache leeren (ddev typo3 cache:flush).
5. Datenbankschema aktualisieren (ddev typo3 database:updateschema "*" --no-interaction).
6. Im Backend bei Root-Template unter Includes das statische TypoScript Date Demo einbinden.
7. Auf einer Seite ein neues Inhaltselement vom Typ Plugins -> Date Demo anlegen.
8. Frontend testen: Liste öffnen -> Create new item -> Datum im Format d.m.Y speichern -> Edit -> Delete.
   Wichtiger Punkt (Date mapping)

• Das Datum wird über diese Fluid-Kombination korrekt in \DateTime gemappt:
    - property="myDate.date"
    - property="myDate.dateFormat" value="d.m.Y"
• Beide Formate müssen zusammenpassen, sonst schlägt das Parsing fehl.
