The note to f:uri.resource should be inserted again for non-FAL assets (see original VH comments before it moved outside the core).

f:uri.resource should backlink to f:image for FAL-assets (I think thats the case still)

We don't document any "might be changed in the future" unless there is a deprecation or some such. That is why I left out this note on purpose.

Also notes aka "Something might happen" are generally not helpful to users. If you can describe specifically what to watch out for and what to do instead we can insert an improved note.

We can leave out "change in the future", but the "do not use this for FAL | do not use this for non-FAL" must remain. The core inserted that hint for a reason and we should keep that.

Note that image operations (cropping, scaling, converting) on non-FAL files (i.e. extension resources) may be changed in future TYPO3 versions, since those operations are coupled with FAL metadata. Each non-FAL image operation creates a "fake" FAL record, which may lead to problems.

In my eyes this sentence does not really tell you anything usefull other then there might be problems. No when these problems happen, no what you should do instead, ...

I cannot look it up atm - if you check out the comment how it was in the VH before they got removed from the core you'll see it.
It was updated version that basically said:

• if you use f:resource.uri for fal assets, better use f:image.uri
• if you use f:image.uri for extension resources, please better use f:resource.uri

Along with the explanatio about fal shadow copies and "what is an extension resource".

We added that in the core because it was often trouble for people. So IMO it is important to keep it, so people can better understand when to use which VH.
