No focus‑switch animation occurs when OSD and focus switch are triggered simultaneously

  • When an OSD event and a focus switch are triggered at the same time, the focus‑switch animation is missing.

In scroll, committing a new animation (A) will end the previous one before starting A. If A were to be queued, then the system would feel out of sync. Imagine your focus animation takes 5 seconds, and you don't see the information you requested - OSD in this case- until after those 5 seconds. Note the same happens with other commands: try cycle_sizing a window several times with quick key presses, you will see the new animation "kills" the previous one to avoid positions being out of sync when the new animation begins.

The only solution would be an asynchronous animation loop, but that cannot happen with the current architecture, because the animation system in integrated in the transaction system, with a unique loop.
