508.dev is an engineer-owned offshore engineering co-op.
We build software with a simple operating belief: great engineers should keep more of the value they create, and clients should get senior, self-managed builders without agency overhead.
Our members work across frontend, backend, AI/ML, data science, blockchain, infrastructure, mobile, product engineering, and technical leadership. We have supported clients as an embedded engineering team, consultancy, development firm, managed service provider, and agency.
- Full-stack web applications
- AI-native product features and internal tools
- Frontend architecture and implementation
- Backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
- Cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, and migration work
- Mobile, blockchain, automation, and specialized engineering projects

508.dev is a co-op, not a traditional agency. Members are vetted, trusted, and expected to operate with high ownership. The people estimating and planning work are close to the people building it, which keeps projects grounded and transparent.
Our operating standards are shaped by four canonical values:
- Transparency: share context, surface risks early, and keep incentives visible.
- Progression, independence, and personal responsibility: keep improving, take ownership, and organize work without waiting to be managed.
- Flexibility: adapt tools, schedules, business models, and working styles to the problem at hand.
- Never wrong to do the right thing: act honestly, pay people fairly, build responsibly, and optimize for long-term trust.

508.dev is a community and co-op for engineers who want fairer compensation, stronger peers, and meaningful professional growth. We do not work like a conventional full-time employer. Members usually begin by joining the community, getting to know the co-op, and making a contribution through client work, open source, writing, or another useful project.
