fix: audit SQL construction and general exception catches (CA2100, CA1031) - #157

The TargetFrameworkVersion (Android API level 35) is higher than the targetSdkVersion (34). Please increase the `android:targetSdkVersion` in the `AndroidManifest.xml` so that the API levels match.
