Is Copilot supported?

The docs say copilot is supported, but I was unable to add it to my config:
Error: loading config: validating config: providers.preference contains unknown provider: copilot

I can work on adding this if needed

Copilot is supported — the error you're seeing is a version mismatch. The Homebrew tap is currently behind (tracking issue: #48), so if you installed via brew, you're likely on an older release that didn't yet include Copilot support.

Quick fix — install from source to get the latest:

go install github.com/marcus/nightshift/cmd/nightshift@latest

Once you're on the current version, your config should work. To configure Copilot, you'll need:

1. GitHub Copilot CLI installed: gh extension install github/gh-copilot
2. Config entry — add to your nightshift.yaml:

providers:
  copilot:
    enabled: true
preference:
  - copilot   # or whichever order you prefer
  - claude
  - codex

3. Verify setup: nightshift doctor will check that the Copilot CLI is found and properly configured.

The Homebrew tap fix is in flight (#48) so brew upgrade should work once that's merged. And thanks for offering to contribute — once you've had a chance to try it, definitely let us know if you run into anything further. ✦

To add a bit more context: Copilot provider support is actively being developed right now (see the PR series from @maxbeizer landing soon). Basic Copilot integration via nightshift setup should get you going today, with more robust budget tracking and configuration options on the way.
