Astra is the project codenamde for this application. The application was developed using Qt, QML, and C++ in Qt Creator as part of the Software Development for Engineering Students course (DT507G), Spring 2026. The application uses real astronomical data for stars within 100 light-years of Earth and visualizes them in an interactive and user-friendly way using Qt Quick 3D. The star data is stored in a local SQLite database.
